Overview

Resume Generator App is operated by OCTech Services. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what controls you have over it.

What We Collect

• Account information — Your email address, collected when you sign up via Clerk.
• Resume and job description content — Text you submit when generating documents. Used solely to produce your output and stored temporarily per your tier (Free: 3 days, Pro: 30 days).
• Generated documents — The resume and cover letter output, stored in your history until expiry.
• Usage data — Generation count per month, used to enforce tier limits.
• Billing information — Handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or payment details.

How We Use Your Data

We do not sell your data. We do not use your resume content to train AI models.

Third-Party Services

• Clerk — Authentication and user identity. Handles sign-up, login, and session management.
• Supabase — Database. Stores your account record, generation history, and usage counts.
• Stripe — Payment processing. Manages subscriptions and billing. Stripe's privacy policy governs data they collect.
• Anthropic — AI provider. Your resume and job description content is sent to Anthropic's API to generate output. Anthropic's data handling practices apply to API usage.
• Vercel — Hosting. The application runs on Vercel's infrastructure.

Data Retention

Generated documents and submitted content are stored for 3 days (Free) or 30 days (Pro) from the time of generation, then deleted automatically.

Your account record (email, subscription status) is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, associated data is removed.

Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), server-side authentication checks, and access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the updated date at the top of this page.
